Excess fluoride in drinking water can cause negative biochemical and functional changes in the developing human brain and negatively affect mental abilities. The research aims to determine the fluoride content in various water sources in the Suzak Region and perform a comparative analysis. The authors carried out water sampling from 11 source areas in populated areas of the Suzak Region. In total, 22 samples of drinking water were taken over two seasons (winter and spring). The authors established that the fluoride content in underground and surface drinking water in the Jalal-Abad Region of the Suzak Region is low and does not satisfy the physiological needs of residents in this area. It was revealed that the fluoride content depends on climatic conditions. In the spring period, the fluoride content in water is lower compared to winter periods. Statistically significant differences were established in the spring and winter periods. The results of this research can be applied to the practical performance of solutions to improve drinking water quality and prevent certain diseases in humans and animals. The authors revealed that the fluoride content depends on climatic conditions: higher levels in winter and lower in spring.
