The following study analyzed the effect of the 3D printer setup of the samples on their tensile strength. The samples were fabricated by SLS using PA12 powder. The main objective was to determine the appropriate alignment of the model in the 3D printer to obtain the desired mechanical properties in future prints. According to the results of the study, for flexible parts the best print layout would be at 45° vertically, and for parts that do not require flexibility vertically.

摘要

The following study analyzed the effect of the 3D printer setup of the samples on their tensile strength. The samples were fabricated by SLS using PA12 powder. The main objective was to determine the appropriate alignment of the model in the 3D printer to obtain the desired mechanical properties in future prints. According to the results of the study, for flexible parts the best print layout would be at 45° vertically, and for parts that do not require flexibility vertically.
