Preventing these damages, seismic isolation techniques is essential. In the present paper, seismic performance of base isolated structure is observed with Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB) and U-Shaped Metallic Isolator as well as investigate the obtained results. Non-linear dynamic analysis is performed on a 5-story lumped parameter model, with each story having a single degree of freedom (SDOF), using SAP2000 software. The analysis considers four different earthquake ground motions. The observed results indicate a significant reduction in response quantities, thereby mitigating structural damages in both isolation systems.
