Effect of Seasonal Variation on Inactivation EC (Escherichia Coli), FC (Feacal Coliform) and TC (Total Coliform) by Solar Disinfection
摘要
Solar radiations are natural disinfectant (UV-A) which is abundantly available in India which is tropical country. Hence there is need to use the solar energy for disinfection of grey water. Hence this study is aimed at to do investigation of effect of seasonal variation, three sets of experimentations were considered depending up on the solar intensity 400–500 W/m2 as Rainy, 500–600 W/m2 as Winter and 600–700 W/m2 as Summer with the optimized condition of turbidity (30 NTU), angle (45º), flowrate (135 ml/min) and reflective rear surface. Performing parameter is bacteriological inactivation of EC (Escherichia Coli), FC (Feacal Coliform) and TC (Total Coliform). It was observed that with increase in intensity of solar light behavior of inactivation changed.
