One way to conceptualize the BRTS is as an integrated system that encompasses parking, land use planning, affordable transportation, bike and pedestrian infrastructure, housing policy, road design and space utilization, and public transportation prices. Since the debut of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) idea, around ten Indian cities have indicated interest in it, with some of these towns now in various stages of the planning or system implementation process. The Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) is the primary tactic used in this article to satisfy the needs of equity and sustainability. In addition, it has attempted to investigate the BRTS's technology and functionality, as well as the system's architecture. This article seeks to close the gap by doing a thorough analysis of BRTS in the Indian context and focusing Ahmedabad BRTS, with largest network in India. Here, an attempt was made to illustrate the BRTS assessment procedure by assessing the performance cities and local authorities in implementing the bus rapid transit system planned.
