By meeting the journey and transport requirements of both individuals and goods, transportation has assisted in society’s growth from the dawn of time. Deaths, on the other hand, have increased by a factor of two over the last ten years. As a result, study and planning are crucial for a road project, keeping in mind both the present and potential future needs of the area. The main issue of defining both qualitative and quantitative standards to move forward with a thorough road condition assessment is addressed in this study. The route is an 8-km section of the Nayara Energy Limited in the Gujarat, district of Jamnagar. The various entry and exit gates of Nayara Energy Ltd. face a problem of traffic congestion while entering and leaving the gates and also an issue of queuing for other commuters. To address this issue, various improvement plans were suggested based on traffic data, pavement inventory, topography of the region, etc. Road authorities may use this technique as a reliable tool in the framework of effective road upgrading management. The main goal of this article is to provide a thorough review of the plan for improving current roadways along with the pertinent technologies to address the issue of congestion and avoid accidents on the road. The four-lane road’s paved shoulders being upgraded will speed up transportation, ensure a free flow of traffic, and encourage social contact in neighboring villages.
