Towards an Assessment Methodology for Calculating Sustainability Index Scores in Ports: Bridging Theory and Practice
摘要
The main objective of this research is to combine knowledge from the literature and field research to find new parameters for an assessment method for sustainable innovation in Dutch ports. The methodological steps combined existing knowledge through a literature review with a Delphi study with input from twenty-two interview respondents. This chapter uses the triple bottom line theory to categorize all parameters. New parameters were found and added to the assessment method. Additionally, the weights given to the parameters in past research have not stood the test of time and must be reassessed. This paper focuses purely on parameters to include in the assessment methods and their ranking; it does not offer advice on the point distribution per parameter or on the weight of each parameter. Additionally, the results of this research may be largely or even only applicable to Dutch ports.
