Managing Pregnancy in AYA with Paediatric Onset Rheumatic Diseases
摘要
Pregnancy in adolescence can adversely affect the physical, psychological and socioeconomic status of the parents and infant. Outcomes may be further complicated by rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs)—particularly if that disease is active and/or has already led to end-organ dysfunction/damage. Pre-pregnancy counselling, access to contraception, and multi-disciplinary expertise in pregnancy are essential. This chapter considers pregnancy and contraception among adolescents and young adults (AYA) with RMDs.
