Decision-making often relies on subjective experience; however, certain perspectives may lack clarity, making articulation difficult for policymakers. As a result, researchers need to provide scientific decision frameworks, such as the multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) approach within a linguistic context, which is becoming increasingly popular among academics. In modern MCGDM settings, experts are frequently viewed as independent, and their psychological behaviours are rarely considered. However, in many cases, experts’ viewpoints are likely to influence one another, and they often exhibit subjective, bounded rationality during the decision-making process. In this chapter, we propose a multicriteria quantum decision theory-based group decision-making model that integrates the TODIM-PROMETHEE II method using linguistic Z-number information. A case study on renewable energy selection is conducted to evaluate the model’s effectiveness, along with sensitivity analysis, comparative analysis, and discussion.
