From the disrupting adoption of blockchain and the impact of FinTech, one possible outcome concerning market competitiveness, concentration, and competition is a business and financial world consisting of numerous specialized businesses and just a few major providers. Hence, to handle trade-offs between stability, trust, integrity, knowledge, information, data sharing, competitiveness, efficiency, consumer protection, cyber-hacking, security, and privacy, authorities must collaborate across financial regulation, competition, and industry regulatory organizations. This paper follows a simple literature review methodology for demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the academic literature on the disruptive power of FinTech and the importance of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies in digital transformation processes.
