摘要
The paper presents the results of sedimentological and Quaternary studies carried out in the Russian-Vietnamese expeditions on the shelf and the continental slope of the western part of the South China Sea in 1983–1992. Sedimentation and the mineral composition of sediments on the Sunda shelf have been studied in detail. We studied the sediment composition and structure of the upper part of the sedimentary cover, including Holocene and Late Pleistocene sediments dated according to14C content.
