The Structure of the Cenozoic Basement and Sedimentary Cover of the South China Sea
摘要
The chapter presents the results of the study of the Cenozoic basement and sedimentary cover of the South China Sea. The studies are based on the interpretation of marine and satellite gravimetry in combination with the results of seismic and bathymetric surveys. A map of gravity anomalies, a structural scheme of the basement of the South China Sea and its adjacent framing, map of thickness, and density of Cenozoic sediments underlying most of the South China Sea are presented. The interpretation of the data obtained is given.
