The First Results of Marine Gravimetry Offshore Vietnam and Its Surroundings
摘要
The chapter presents a description of the first marine gravity measurements made by the Pacific Oceanological Institute of the Far East Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Vladivostok) together with colleagues from the Institute of Marine Research of the National Scientific Research Center of Vietnam (Nha Trang), in the waters of Vietnam and the surrounding areas. A map of gravity anomalies, a brief interpretation of the data obtained, and a two-dimensional model of the Earth’s crust of the South China Sea, calculated from gravimetry results, are presented.
