Hydrometeorological Regime of the Nha Trang Bay
摘要
This chapter presents the results of studying the main hydrometeorological regime of Nha Trang Bay (South China Sea). Research shows that wind characteristics depend on the seasonal variation of the East Asian monsoon (Northeast and Southwest monsoon). The influence of tropical cyclones mainly occurs in October, November, and December. Hydrographic characteristics (water temperature, salinity, tides, waves, currents) vary seasonally. During the southwest monsoon, the effect of upwelling on water temperature and salinity becomes apparent. The maximum wave impact on Nha Trang Bay occurs during the northeast monsoon season and becomes less during the southwest monsoon.
