Most companies use the services of blockchain as a service (BaaS) providers instead of developing their own blockchain (BC) solution. With the large number of different BaaS providers and their broad range of service offerings, it is difficult for enterprises to select a suitable provider. Since decision models for or against a blockchain as well as for the blockchain type (private, physical, hybrid) are widespread in science and practice, our paper offers a decision model for the selection of a BaaS provider. Our focus is on both the business and technical aspects, as both are important in an organization’s choice of BaaS provider.
