Request Tram Stops—Analysis of Implementation Possibilities in the Selected Tram System
摘要
Request stop systems are a popular solution in the context of public bus transport. In the case of tram systems, this solution is definitely less popular. The article presents the advantages of this type of solutions and describes the potential threats resulting from the operation of request tram stops. Functioning solutions for request tram stops in Poland were presented. The conducted research included measuring the number of vehicle stops at stops in one of the existing tram transport networks. This study was repeated on selected tram routes in a city where this type of stops do not exist—in Wrocław. The obtained results indicate that it is reasonable to consider the possibility of implementing this solution.
