A circular supply chain (CSC) is a system that aims to eliminate waste and keep products and materials in use for as long as possible. Linear supply chain takes a linear path from raw material till the disposal. This increases the debris in the environment. A closed supply chain forms a loop from consumer to manufacturers which reduces the accumulation of debris. By design or intention, circular supply chains are among of the main facilitators of closing the loop for value recovery and maximizing profits. Although CSC is a new field, there isn’t much discussion in academic circles about it from the perspective of a smoothly connected upward and reverse sc that aims to attain system-wide circularity. Circular economy increases the values of the materials when integrated into the supply chain. Green supply chain will help Manufacturers, consumers and nature to benefit together.
