This chapter deals with two types of specimens: spirit-based varnish and oil-based varnish for resonance spruce and curly maple violinsCurly mapleviolins of quality classes A and D. The following effects were studied: UV exposure on colorimetric parameters, modification of morphological structure of system varnish-wood interface with the contact angle method, modification of frequencyFrequency spectrumSpectrum and dampingDamping coefficient with modal analysisModal analysis of plate vibrations, modification of sound absorption The coefficient was determined using the Kund tube standardized method. The SEM and optical views of the interface of the varnish wood system are illustrated.
