Mechanical Characterization of Spruce Resonance Wood and Curly Maple for Violins

The aim of this chapter is to determine the elastic constants of resonance spruce and curly maple for violins. The specimens’ quality noted as A, B, C and D, is in agreement with the violin maker’s classification of blanks for violins.
