The Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Mining (DM) concepts make their place more and more in the management measures to improve the energy efficiency. In the paper, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis using the bibliometric R package (a shiny tool for conducting research) based on the terms “Energy management”, “Internet of Things”, and “Data Mining” using the Scopus database has been performed to determine if this field represents a challenge at the global level. The IoT and DM-based energy management applications have been investigated to identify the milestones in the evolution of the proposed solutions regarding the potential energy-saving opportunities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the end-user, building and city levels. Also, energy management solutions have been discussed to enhance energy efficiency by identifying strengths and weaknesses to integrate IoT and DM concepts.

摘要
