The purpose of this study is to refute the theory that ageing processes directly affect the nervous system and its functions. The consequences of cellular ageing include a decline in nerve cells, slowed reflexes, and atrophy in specific brain regions. Five duplicate articles were deleted from the original 49 articles from the databases above. The remaining 44 papers were reviewed by title and abstract for legitimacy and relevance, removing 18 more. Read and analysed 26 articles. Thus, 12 papers failed to match the study’s inclusion criteria. Inconclusive papers (n = 3) were removed, followed by articles with different study samples (young, children, animals) from our research (n = 1). Other sources of neuronal cell degeneration, reflex actions (n = 4), and non-ageing neurodegenerative illnesses (n = 3) were excluded. Our research includes 14 verified, qualified papers. Motor performance declines with age and accelerates after age 80, resulting in muscles that are weaker, more sluggish, less powerful, less stable, and more prone to fatigue during dynamic, high-speed activities. This decline in performance is accelerated after age 80.
