The emergence of pests is one of the modern problems, which has affected the agricultural community worldwide. Not only the food production and storage are affected, but also the outbreak of vector-borne disease has caused much ruckus. The change in climate is much responsible for this situation. The impact of this has taken troll on the economics and health parts too. Though via monitoring and surveillance, the controlling of pests and vector is being done, still the modern technologies are also required. As we know, the use of pesticide solely has a great impact on the nature and life of the earth directly and indirectly, so the use of alternative methods such as IPM (integrated pest management) and biopesticides are being considered everywhere. The current scenario has changed a lot from the past, so will be the future. Therefore, measurements need to be taken, considering all the possible futuristic prospects, which will be helpful right now and also in the near future. Here, we have discussed how the emergence of pests is causing vector-borne diseases and affecting our day-to-day lives, as well as potential solutions.
