This book has modelled a theory of im/politenessIm/politeness based directly on the metapragmaticMetapragmatics understandings of language users, in this case professors and students at a large university in Seoul. We conclude the book by reiterating the main findings and theoretical implications of our study (Sect. 10.2) and outlining limitations of the study and suggestions for future research (Sect. 10.3).
