The adhesion of reinforcement to wood is one of the important indicators of the bearing capacity of reinforced wooden structures. At the same time, the impact of this phenomenon remains poorly understood. At the moment, there are no normative and author’s calculation methods taking into account the adhesion of reinforcement to wood. This article highlights this problem and offers a general calculation method based on the study of the stress-strain state of reinforced wooden beams under a pulling load applied to the reinforcement. The study involves the analysis of experiments conducted by various researchers in order to identify the dependence of the bearing capacity of a wooden structure on various factors affecting adhesion. The aim of the study is to clarify the existing methodology for calculating reinforced wooden structures, which will have a positive impact on their use in civil engineering.
