This paper introduces the 10:10:10:10 Vision of Triple Helix Nigeria, an innovative framework designed to democratize innovation and promote commercialization within Nigerian universities by enhancing collaboration among academia, industry, and government. While Nigerian universities have made strides in education and research, challenges persist in translating academic outputs into commercial ventures. Addressing this gap, the 10:10:10:10 Vision encompasses four pillars: entrepreneurial orientation, R&D collaboration, innovation infrastructure, and financing. Each pillar is supported by targeted policies and strategic initiatives to operationalize the vision. Expected outcomes include increased entrepreneurial activity, strengthened academia-industry-government partnerships, improved innovation infrastructure, and sustainable financing for research and development. This comprehensive approach aims to drive economic growth, foster job creation, and contribute to Nigeria’s development goals by building a resilient innovation ecosystem in higher education. Additionally, implementing the vision is anticipated to facilitate the commercialization of research, boost intellectual property generation, and enhance access to education and employment, ultimately improving living standards. Future research will be needed to evaluate the vision’s effectiveness and long-term sustainability, with attention to potential challenges in policy execution, resource allocation, and stakeholder involvement.
