Analysis of Technical and Technological Parameters of Solar Thermal Power Plants

摘要

Solar energy offers immense potential for clean electricity generation through technologies like concentrated solar power plants. Concentrated solar power technology is positioned as a significant player in the future renewable energy landscape due to its stable and reliable power generation capabilities and decreasing costs and environmental benefits. This paper analyzes the technical and technological parameters of concentrated solar power plants in order to identify key trends, advantages, and challenges. We examine four main concentrated solar power types: parabolic dish, parabolic trough, solar power tower, and linear Fresnel reflector. Our study highlights solar power tower as a standout technology, owing to its expansive temperature range, competitive cost per kilowatt, and extended storage capabilities. We also discuss the potential integration of the supercritical carbon dioxide Brayton cycle to enhance efficiency. We hope our analysis sheds light on the promising trajectory of solar power tower technology in shaping the future landscape of concentrated solar power plants.
