An Economic Analysis of Installation of Drip Irrigation Systems for Economic Efficiency in Pomegranate Orchards in Azerbaijan

Pomegranate production is most important part of agriculture in Azerbaijan for farmers because this is main source income for them. Main purpose of this research is to tackle the challenges encountered by pomegranate farmers in Azerbaijan as a result of conventional farming methods. The aim is to show difference in agriculture developing an innovative smart farming solution tailored specifically for pomegranate cultivation. By doing so, the research seeks to address the existing unaddressed issues faced by farmers and enhance overall farming practices in the region. For that, it is necessary to increase the productivity of agriculture. However, the situation of the farmers in our field of study shows that there are many problems facing the farmers in the area and it is important to find a way to provide required information, trainings, financial support to the farmers, farm planning for water storage by farmers. Strategies such as water policy, construction of water reservoirs, storage houses for perishable products, processing business policy are helpful in increasing economic efficiency and agricultural productivity. For this, the government and other organizations involved in agriculture business should implement new policies and provide financial assistance to the economically backward farmers.
