Economic Aspects of Green Energy Development in Azerbaijan

The article discusses the reasons, methods of transition of the economy for using “green” energy and its conditions. The main goal of using “green” energy in the economy, which allows minimizing the negative impact on the environment is presented. The main advantages and disadvantages of the production of renewable energy sources (RES) are characterized. The state of renewable energy in the energy balance in the leading countries of the world is considered. The main types of “green” energy in Azerbaijan and the prospects for its development based on renewable energy sources are analyzed. In Azerbaijan, the main directions for the development of “green” energy based on renewable energy sources have been formed for promising prospects. This sector of the economy is defined as one of the rarest areas of the national policy, which has serious government support. The AR creates the necessary conditions and provides guarantees for the participation of foreign investors in these projects. The prospects for the development of “green” energy in Azerbaijan and the production of electricity from renewable energy sources (RES) are analyzed. The main promising directions for the development of “green” energy – electricity production based on renewable energy sources, in the regions, including the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, have been studied. Promising directions for the production of renewable energy sources and the participation of large world energy companies in these projects are analyzed.
