The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Motivation of Bank Employees in Azerbaijan

The popularity of artificial intelligence and its results are becoming more and more relevant day by day, which in itself causes some threats to appear in the labor market. In this article, the effect of artificial intelligence on the work motivation of bank employees in Azerbaijan is investigated. A survey was conducted among 200 employees of 3 banks and the survey results were analyzed in the SPSS 27 program. Correlation and regression analysis was conducted between the variables determined on the basis of Likert questions in the survey. The present study employed a Pearson Correlation Analysis to examine the correlations between income, workload, work motivation, and AI update density. Through linear regression analysis, the effect of AI update density on these three variables was investigated. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there is a positive correlation between AI update density – workload, and a negative correlation between AI update density – work motivation, and AI update density – income. Future studies should be devoted to the investigation of the impact of AI on employee turnover in the banks.
