Measuring the Environmental Impact of Service Exports in Azerbaijan
摘要
The main goal of the presented paper is to measure the impact of Azerbaijan’s services exports on environmental indicators. During the research, many studies related to the impact of services exports on environmental indicators were analyzed, and the possibilities of services exports affecting various areas of the economy were theoretically studied. It was determined that the services export has an important role in the development of the economy. Thus, services export has a positive effect on the environment, along with an increase in income from exports to the country’s economy, the creation of new jobs, the diversification of exports, and other benefits. For this purpose, to determine the relationship between the top ten countries in the world’s services export and environmental indicators like carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and total greenhouse gas emissions, a panel model was used to evaluate the relevant regression model, and it was determined that the export of services reduces the mentioned indicators. In the research, at the same time, to determine the relationship between the services exports and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of Azerbaijan, an appropriate econometric assessment was realized, and it was concluded that there is a released quadratic relationship, and the export of services has a positive effect on environmental protection after a certain level.
