Integrating Green Education into English Language Learning. Promoting Sustainability Through Language Education

The article touches on the role of English in promoting green education and solving environmental problems. Preservation of the biosphere is a necessary factor for the survival of mankind, and ecology today is becoming a complex interdisciplinary science that integrates the results of several academic disciplines and determines human behavior in relation to the surrounding reality. Modern education must meet the social needs of society; in this regard, one of the objectives of education is the formation of an individual with a high level of environmental culture. Environmental education of students is a priority in the general education system. In the implementation of environmental education, the most important place belongs to institutions of additional education, since they have a flexible system that quickly responds to changes in the individual and educational needs of children. Studying English has great opportunities for strengthening various areas of education of a harmoniously developed personality, including environmental education, designed to form a caring attitude towards nature as a social and personal value.
