Globalization and integration processes have a significant impact on the development of the world's economies in almost all areas of their functioning. Influenced by technological, political, economic, and demographic factors, the issue of population migration has long moved from the national level to the transnational and global one. The main trends in labor migration worldwide have been examined, and its dynamics have been analyzed. It was found that the main centers for international migration are Europe and Asian countries, followed by North America, Africa, Latin America, etc. The main trends that will continue to drive labor migration include the “attraction” of demographic forces and the subsequent labor shortage in the market, unemployment, and crises in the least developed countries, among others. The experience of the world's leading countries regarding the introduction of tools for the assimilation of labor migrants has been explored. Three main groups of assimilation tools for labor migrants have been identified: economic, political, social, and cultural processes. The current global legislation on the protection and assimilation of labor migrants has been analyzed. A number of fundamental normative legal acts proposed by the international community, as well as conventions and legislative initiatives on the regulation and protection of the rights of labor migrants, which will particularly stimulate the process of their assimilation, have been highlighted.

摘要
