Promoting of the Sustainable Tourism in Ilzenberg Manor. Case Study of Lithuania
摘要
Climate change has become an existential global environmental crisis, and although tourism emissions are still increasing, it can be expected to be the basis for sustainable tourism research (Peeters et al. [1]). Sustainable cultural tourism offers a new way of looking at things, putting cultural heritage and local communities at the heart of decision-making. Sustainable cultural tourism aims to ensure good nature conservation and authentic understanding that support the local economy (Europos komisija, [2]; Europos komisija, [3]). The competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism industry are closely linked, as the quality of tourist destinations is strongly influenced by their natural and cultural environment and their integration into the local community. Lithuania’s manor heritage sites are a vast treasure trove of architecture, art and other artistic treasures, as well as landscape and old technologies. For centuries, the wisdom, knowledge and techniques, skills and technologies of contemporaries have been used to create manors. The paper analyses the ways of promoting sustainable tourism at Ilzenberg Manor and presents new opportunities for the promotion of Ilzenberg Manor in Lithuania for the development of sustainable tourism.
