Amazon Riverine Communities: Practice of Family Farming and the Use of Natural Resources in the Tapajós River Basin

This chapter conducts a diagnosis of how riparian families in the Tapajós region engage in sustainable exploration of the Amazon rainforest. Within this context, there is an identification of plant species used for their sustenance, the types of agricultural management adopted, and the socio-economic significance of agriculture for families belonging to traditional communities in the region.
