The Meliponiculture, rational breeding of stingless bees, is a very important activity for the preservation of species considering the defense of biodiversity, as well as potential to benefit communities in the composition of income. This study aimed to measure the cost of implanting a meliponary in Santarém, West of Pará, Brazil. The data were based on the structure of the meliponary present at Fatima Mekdece´s Grove of the Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (Federal University of Western Pará). It was considered the acquisition of materials, labor for implementation and the period for carrying out the activity.
