This study aims to identify sustainability practices, Sustainability Development Goals and Innovation (SDGI) in engineering courses in the Legal Amazon, from the perception of specialists. A quantitative and qualitative methodological approach was adopted to conduct this study. Firstly, a research instrument was developed based on a systematic literature review on the topic of engineers, innovation and sustainability, and with the participation of experts, assisted by the Fuzzy Delphi method, the variables were validated. With the participation of 10 experts (professors/researchers) from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) located in the Brazilian Amazon and with the aid of the Fuzzy Delphi method, both for the validation of the variables in a research instrument developed based on the main evidence from the Systematic Literature Review and the literature, 38 validated variables were obtained. The findings are relevant for engineering course coordinators, professors, researchers, and academics, as they enable better planning and execution of training to assist engineering courses in the Amazon in the process of integrating innovation and sustainability approaches into their curricula.
