Introduction
摘要
Public institutions all over the world are facing an increasingly disruptive technological environment. The way in which they are able to benefit from these changes and readjust to the inevitable societal change matters not only for them, bot for society at large. This book contains carefully selected case studies, mainly from Central and Eastern Europe, that put a spotlight on the ways public sectors adapt under continuous pressure (the technological race) or sudden crisis (the COVID-19 pandemic). We hope that educators and students, practitioners and researchers, will find the chapters of this book interesting and useful, either in fruitful class activities, generating new ideas for change in public governmental organizations, or inspiration for future studies.
