Shoulder injuries, including dislocations, fractures, and rotator cuff lesions, are frequent among patients with epilepsy (PWE). These patients experience a higher incidence of rare injuries, such as proximal humerus fracture-dislocations and bilateral shoulder lesions. The literature on the types, frequency, and outcomes of these injuries in PWE is limited. This chapter explores the dynamics and pathomechanics of shoulder injuries in PWE, emphasizing the mechanisms and unique challenges they present and summarize the treatment options of seizure-related shoulder instability.
