AI-XR for Personalized and Experiential Learning in DIGICOMPASS

摘要

This chapter examines the integration of AI and extended reality (XR) technologies within the DIGICOMPASS framework to advance personalized and experiential learning. AI technologies provide real-time feedback, adaptive pathways, and personalized learning experiences, while XR creates immersive environments for engaging exploration of global challenges. Approaches like scenario-based learning, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and content and language integrated learning foster critical thinking, collaboration, and multilingual proficiency, supported by inclusive practices such as universal design for learning, culturally responsive education, and social-emotional learning to ensure accessibility, cultural responsiveness, and emotional support. The chapter highlights the synergy between adaptivity, differentiation, and experiential strategies, showcasing how these innovations enhance engagement and intercultural competence. A practical module on climate change education exemplifies AI and XR’s transformative potential, emphasizing scientific inquiry, cultural awareness, and multilingual communication to prepare learners for success in diverse, digitally connected contexts.
