摘要

In this chapter, we describe a few additional types of quantum states that appear in applications, such as coherent and squeezed states and N00N states. The application of squeezed states in detecting gravitational waves is discussed as an illustrative example of the use of these states. We also discuss some aspects related to measurement of quantum states. In particular, we examine a subject on which quantum cryptography depends, that of distinguishing between nonorthogonal quantum states.
