Quantum Computing in Cybersecurity Using Quantum Key Distribution and Quantum Random Number Generator

The use of quantum computing has started to grow significantly since the last few decades and is a development in the field of computers. Quantum computers use Qubits which have great potential in performing extremely complex calculations at higher speed, thus giving them an extraordinary capability to tend to cybersecurity concerns. Researchers must improve the randomness of keys while developing cryptosystems in order to achieve robust data security across networks. One suggested way is the employment of Random number generators (RNGs) to enhance security which produce random numbers and quantum particles have an advantage in RNG technology since they can provide true randomness. This research paper will be reviewing and discussing different aspects of quantum computing in the field of cybersecurity to ensure protection of data along with a discussion on quantum random number generators. This paper contains a brief overview from research papers from last few years. Lastly, future directions for quantum computing are given for curious minds to continue research in this domain.
