In the context of the acceleration of digital transformation and the spread of Artificial Intelligence applications use, simultaneously with the emergence of negative phenomena in the online environment and media, universities are facing a new paradigm in communication. The article presents the scientific approach adopted and implemented for the development of the competence matrix, the training materials, and the e-learning platform, as well as the transmedia campaigns related to the RespectNET initiative for the respectful, ethical communication in universities and with their stakeholders from the civil society.
