A strategic human capital approach to Africa’s sustainable development is anchored on prioritizing investment in people’s education and health above all other investments and ensuring that other investments are threaded around their impact on people, their human capital development, and how they facilitate people’s human capital deployment in economic productive activities. This chapter reiterates the merits of such an approach to sustainable development and why it should be the main developmental path for African countries.
