This directly addresses the issue of decreasing fossil fuel reserves and the influence on pollution which affects the environment. Wind energy isa having continual to show a major role as most widely used green-energy source. But, a Wind Turbine (WT) system's efficacy level and cost effectiveness with regard to wind applications are highly reliant on its control. This article examines the different wind energy pitch control techniques. Recent attempts have been made to examine these control approaches, but the main focus of the researchers has been on Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and the pitch angle control of WT. The role of the power electronics in wind systems has been thoroughly reviewed, but stall control of the WTs is not included. The findings of this research can aid as a comprehensive orientation for forthcoming research on the control of WTs.
