This paper is an attempt to apply TF - IDF Calculation addressing sociological issues through the writings of Nissim Ezekiel. In Poet, Lover, and Birdwatcher, poetry is seen as picked up rather than invented. Ezekiel firmly believed that from birth to death man travels and faces many difficulties. The end of every journey is death. In his poem “Enterprise” the poet imagines life as a pilgrimage. He celebrated the joy of living in all its forms. For him, his life is a reason to celebrate. (After reading “Prophecy verse 155”) His worm (insect verse 10) is a symbol of undiminished strength to withstand the rain and keep moving. For Ezekiel, humans are the only guests in this world, and nature is the host. He “is ready for a feast!” “I expect” and their silence. The song “Solitude and Asceticism” (Noon, Psalm 59) fills him with ananda (joy). Ezekiel is a painfully poignant perception of the body, its persistent impulses, its powerful ecstasy, and the disturbing fiction of the spirit. “Enterprise” expresses the human condition on our sad planet, the frequent struggles, failures and frustration that humans face due to the nature of earthly life. Ezekiel expresses the same sentiment in his poem Morning Walk, in which the poet walks through Bombay, but it is a humbling experience.
