The origins of mathematics are in the form of geometry, the physical objects that are visually easy to understand and accept by humans. The relationships between the abstract (algebra) and physical (geometry) forms are topics of analytical geometry. In this chapter, basic planar (i.e., Euclidean) forms, e.g., point, line, triangle, and circle, are reintroduced to the reader with the objective to review and reinforce algebraic expression in relationship with their geometric counterparts. This way of thinking may be considered as the prerequisite for mastering vectors and calculus in general.
