The Sulawesi earthquake and tsunami on September, 28th 2018, was one of the unexpected disasters that have occurred in Indonesia, since there were three disasters; an earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction happened almost at the same time. The disasters that had a big impact on Central Sulawesi as a study area not only caused many casualties but also made many general and educational facilities damaged. One of the educational facilities that was damaged was a school. Schools that could be used as evacuation center, especially when disaster happened, turned out to be ones of the educational facilities that suffered a lot of damage during disasters. One of the reasons is that the school were almost located in the disasters prone area. The aim of this research was to identify which school can be used as school hub. The methods for this research were by doing a literature study from previous research that was related to this research, as well as collecting data and classifying school in the study areas to see which school were in disaster-prone area and any other condition. The result shows that there are three school that are located in Kota Palu and Sigi Regency which have potential for school hub with three different types of hazards. These three schools are SMP Negeri 4 Kota Palu, which located in the downtown of Kota Palu, with earthquake hazard, SMP Negeri 10 Kota Palu, which located around the Palu Bay with tsunami hazard and SMP Negeri 1 Sigi Regency, which is located near the location of liquefaction hazard but also has an impact of earthquake. These three schools can be used as a school hub because, even though the school was located around the medium earthquake vulnerability zone, the school are still in a safe zone for buildings. So, the result of this could be using as a recommendation to make a school hub, as it also served as an evacuation center for the area around the school.
