Indonesia is an archipelagic country with a high frequency of natural disasters, including tsunamis which have the potential to impact facilities and infrastructure in important areas. Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia with the highest number of victims of natural disasters with losses not only on the economic system, but also on infrastructure recovery after the tsunami. The latest findings shows that the developments area in Aceh Province are approaching tsunami-risk areas as the tsunami vulnerability increases every year. To overcome these problems, disaster risk management is needed to mitigate damage from disasters. This study calculates an index as reference in evaluating the potential impact of a tsunami disaster in certain areas, so that careful preparation can be made. The index named a Tsunami Spatial Vulnerability Index (TSVI) which is formed using satellite imageries and geospatial big data in each one square kilometer area. The Spatial Principal Component Analysis (SPCA) method is used to analyze the physical components (shoreline distance, elevation, building area land cover, soil characteristics), social (population density), economic (economic infrastructure distance), and environmental (vegetation cover, water cover) components of tsunami vulnerability.
