Study on the Mechanism of Slag-Sticking in the Insertion Tube of High Carbon Steel RH Refining Process
摘要
Based on the metallurgical process and slag theory, this work analyzed the structural and compositional characteristics of the slag layer of the insertion tubeInsertion tube during the RH refiningRH refining process of high carbon steel by the analytical test methods of XRF, XRD, SEM and EDS. The slag-sticking behavior of the insertion tubeInsertion tube and the slag-sticking mechanismSlag-sticking mechanism were studied. The results show that the slag-sticking is mainly generated by the chemical reaction between the high viscosity and high melting point refining slag and the castable material on the insertion tubeInsertion tube, and then adheres to the insertion tubeInsertion tube and grows up continuously, because of the influence of the alternating temperatureTemperature changes during the refining process, the “viscous bondingViscous bonding” and “precipitation bondingPrecipitation bonding” occurred continuously. The mechanism analysis and experimental research of slag formation provide theoretical support for improving the behavior of slag sticking in the insertion tubeInsertion tube during RH refiningRH refining of high carbon steel.
