Given its importance for practical spatiotemporal applications, the querying of spatiotemporal information has emerged as a critical area of focus within the domain of spatiotemporal data management. Nevertheless, in real-world spatiotemporal applications, certain users may struggle to articulate their intentions clearly or may lack explicit query objectives, particularly within ambiguous contexts. For instance, in the case of a travel website, a user might request information on all cities in Hebei province that feature a river or sea and experience sunny weather. Upon processing this query, the travel website may return a list of cities that possess a river or sea and are forecasted to have sunny weather during the upcoming weekend. However, it is important to note that, irrespective of the user’s preferences, cities with a river or sea that are expected to have cloudy weather that weekend, cities with sunny weather that lack a river or sea, or cities with a river or sea that are predicted to have sunny weather the following week could also fulfill the user’s requirements. Consequently, it becomes essential to relax the original query parameters in order to obtain a broader range of relevant results.
